The  side-event  is  organized  by  the  European  Commission  (DG  HOME,  ECHO  and  JRC)  to highlight on-going research and networking activities in direct support of the Sendai Framework for  Action  implementation.  Commission  officials  will  present  briefly  institutional  activities (research, knowledge network) and different features of Disaster Risk Reduction policies will be presented  and  discussed  by  representatives  of  academic,  practitioners,  policy-making  and industry representatives.
