Early Warnings for All (EW4All) Multi-Stakeholder Forum for Europe and Central Asia
The primary objective of the Early Warnings for All (EW4All) Multi-Stakeholder Forum (MSF) for Europe and Central Asia (ECA) is to increase interest and commitments from donors and governments for Early Warning Systems (EWS) and Anticipatory Action (AA) enhancement, strengthening stakeholder coordination and governance to support the EW4All initiative in the region. This event will highlight the essential role of EWS, showcase good practices from Member States, foster partnerships to enhance multi-hazard EWS (MHEWS), and discuss innovative approaches to making EWS more effective, efficient and inclusive for leaving no one behind.
The forum has as its main objectives:
- Emphasize the importance of EWS in disaster risk reduction and climate resilience whilst raising awareness among participants about the vital role of EWS in disaster preparedness.
- Present successful EWS implementations and strategies from Member States as models to encourage adoption by others.
- Facilitate partnerships among stakeholders to strengthen MHEWS under the global initiative EW4All.
- Drive increased pledges and financial commitments from donors and governments toward EWS initiatives.
